- Malayalees in Central Ohio have a history of over 60 years. After many years of functioning as an
informal volunteer organization, the Central Ohio Malayalee Association (COMA) was formally
registered as a "not for profit" organization in October 2007.
COMA is the epitome of a long cherished aspiration of the Malayalees of Central Ohio, to promote
the social, cultural, educational, literary, and artistic heritage of our venerable state of Kerala, India.
- Specific purposes for which the organization has been formed include:
- Provide a forum to promote and preserve social and cultural integration of Malayalees in
Central Ohio - Promote friendship and cultural exchange with similar organizations in USA
- Promote the enrichment of life and social welfare of local community in general and
Malayalees in particular
