Valsan – President

I am from Kannur, the land of Theyyams, Poorams and Spinning and weaving mills! I live in Lewis Center with my wife Vijaya and Sons Hrishi and Niranjan. We moved to Columbus in 1998 and living here since then with a 5 year stint at Hyderabad from 2010-15. I have always been very actively involved with the community and COMA, and am looking forward to make this a great year for COMA! I love to travel, read and try to maintain a close connection with my hometown.

 

 

Sudheesh – Vice President

I am from Kottarakkara and has been living in Columbus since 2016. I live in Dublin with my wife Lekshmi and children Gaurinanda and Gautham. I have a Masters in Computer Applications from Madurai Kamaraj University. We came to USA(Bentonville, AR) in 2011 and worked for Walmart as a Senior systems analyst. I am currently working with American Electric Power. During my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, travelling and coding.

 

Sangeetha Muthiraparambath – Secretary

 

I am from Kozhikode, and has been residing in Columbus since October 2001. I have been participating COMA’s events ever since. I live in Powell with my husband, Ashish Muthiraparambath and Sons – Adithya (14) and Abhinav (12). We both work for Nationwide Insurance.
In my spare time I like to be with my family, vacations and watch movies. In the summer time I enjoy hiking, biking and other outdoor activities.

Seethal – Joint Secretary

 I stay in Lewis Center with my husband, Suju Mathew. We moved to Columbus in 2015. Since we had no friends or family here, we were desperate to meet malayalees and that’s how we came across COMA. There was no looking back since.

I have a background in IT and am passionate about dance, music, baking. Although my husband and I are foodies and love to travel, we always ends up eating puttu and kadala, and watching Kilukkam on youtube! #LalettanRocks!

Harshan – Treasurer

I am from Trichur, the purported cultural capital of Kerala and my wife Manjula Puthenedam is from the “granary of Kerala”, Palakkad. We have two daughters, Lavanya ( 7 years) and Nithya (3.5 years). We came to Columbus in 2013 and have been living in Upper Arlington for the past 4 years. After  my initial veterinary training from Kerala, I obtained DVM from Tufts University and completed Ph.D and post-doctoral studies at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  I currently work at the Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a director overseeing pre-clinical biomedical research. My wife, Manjula obtained her Ph.D in biotechnology from Anna University and is currently working as a freelance medical writer
